In 1996, when we
started with this
idea, we would not
have hoped to celebrate happily
and pass the
tenth of a formation which Arbia Big Band, which combined with the traditional "banda" (in business since 1892), brings
out with passion and desire,
music culture in its
different forms of
expression: from traditional
to classical, from jazz to
rock, and so on.
In a moment of crisis in many formations band clubs, the main intention of the then council was that the Philharmonic, as well as expand its workforce, to give new impulse of life to the Association and at the same time attracting young players to a repertoire more innovative and original. Soon, thanks to the exceptional skills of Maestro Klaus Lessmann, this training has become a reference point for many musicians in the area and no evidence ... that are periodically carried out every two weeks, see the presence of young people and adults come from all over the province and beyond (Siena, Buonconvento, Poggibonsi, Arezzo, Prato, ...).
Motivated by Klaus and both show a great enthusiasm for new musical experiences, the staff has gradually expanded to reach, at present, more than twenty items that sound both traditional wind instruments (trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, flute, tuba) that ones to use are not strictly band such as guitar, bass, drums, piano.
